I. The tallest, leanest, most prominent single letter word in English language is I. Not you. Not them. Not we or us. It is always I. It is one of the few English words that are capitalized. It is so important to us that we cease to exist without it. I is the abbreviation for Individual and in this text spelled as I(ndividual) just to remind us.

I
I am an illusion. I only exists because all the surrounding phenomena (including other illusive Is) reflect it. Imagine what we would be without the others? There have been cases of lost human beings who were raised in the wilderness, if they would not have been found by others we would not even know about them today. There have also been rather horrid "studies" about what happens to human beings when they experience social deprivation. The result is straight forward, they eventually wither and die without ever having had a chance to develop into human beings. Even living between animals is better than not having any contact to sentient beings at all.
So if we know that it is so important to have social contact, why do we spend so much time trying to fleece and overreach others? And where did we get this notion that only a handful of selected individuals are worth our special care? How does it come that sometimes we feel isolated even although we are surrounded by others?
Others make up our very being. Look at this simple illustration and then imagine how all the other I start to disappear. What is left?

And then keep in mind that all the other I(ndividuals) are also nothing but illusions.
This one big large capital I is us - each of us separately, sort of. But it is effectively only made up of many other (obviously much smaller) I(ndividuals). Imagine that a few I go missing. The big I will still look like it is an I(ndividual) because our Sight sense and the Mind have the capability to compensate for little irregularities. But when eventually all the individual I have been stripped away, what does this leaves us with? The I(ndividual) will also disappear. Because it only exists through the interaction with other I(ndividuals). It will cease to exist in any perceivable way. It might still be there as a potential but unless all the other I(ndividuals) make space and align properly it will not exist. When the I(ndividual) is isolated it goes into the realm of potentiality or simple nothingness, the continuum, that what we mistakenly call vacuum.
You
You are nothing but yet another I(ndividual) - surrounded by many other I(ndividuals). From our individualistic point of view all the other I(ndividuals) making us up and exist seem to be much less important and smaller, they are there only to reflect us - or better - to make us up.
Them
"Them" are all the other I(ndividuals) that surround you and me (who from our perspective are the core). They are the same kind of I(ndividual) as each of us, you and me and from their perspective each single one of them is just as large as our I (and some maybe are even quite a bit larger).
Us
We together are us. When we overcome the separation into Me and You and Them, then we have a chance to understand what this world is all about. We might eventually come to the point where we recognize that we are nothing without the other. And regardless of how many "You" we know, there will always be more "Them". So it does not make much sense to differentiate between "Us" and "Them". "Us" is always all of us, including "Them". And the I(ndividual) itself is sooo small that is becomes apparent that it is mostly irrelevant.
What does this leave us with? A lot of friends.
