The road to the National Park guard house was blocked by a fresh landslide. The day before we drove the car up to the guard from where we climbed Mount Villanajaru. Coming down the road was blocked. No chance that the National Park will clear the road because it is not in the main season.

These are not "Rolling rocks out of the way in Peru to get our car free from behind a rock slide.

Hooray, we did it. Removed several tons of rocks and debris to clear the road for the small beetle. Took us the whole day with nothing more than bare hands, two shovels and an ax. Without deviating the streamlet it would have taken one week (that was the Taxi driver's estimate) to remove it.
